Uhde Services is part of the ThyssenKrupp Group.
Since 2007, parent company Uhde (Uhde Operating Group, Dortmund) has centralised its service operations in Haltern am See. Uhde Services itself was founded in 2004, when coking technology within the ThyssenKrupp Group was handed over to Uhde. Previous to this, its forerunner Still Otto Montage GmbH had been part of the ThyssenKrupp Group since 1987.

| 1997 | Uhde and Krupp Koppers merge to form Krupp Uhde GmbH |
| 1999 | Krupp and Thyssen merge to become ThyssenKrupp AG |
| 2000 | Services division set up within Uhde in Dortmund |
| 2003 | Still Otto Montage Slovakia s.r.o. founded – Service Center for Eastern Europe |
| 2004 | Still Otto Montage GmbH renamed as Uhde Services GmbH |
| 2007 | All Uhde GmbH service operations centralised within Uhde Services GmbH |
