Installation of electrical equipment and instrumentation for a new urea plant
Yara Sluiskil B.V. is currently planning to build a new urea plant at Sluiskil in Holland. The plant will produce urea solution which will be used to reduce nitrous oxides emitted by power plants, lorries and busses, as well as being used as a fertiliser.
Installation of the electrical equipment and instrumentation for the new urea plant will be undertaken by Uhde Services. The scope of services will include the installation of around
59 km of cable trays, 390 km of cable of various cross sections, nine transformers, 77 medium and low-voltage switchgears, 2,500 light fixtures and 1,150 gauges, sensors and valves.
With a production capacity of 3,500 tonnes per day of urea solution the plant, which will be equipped with the latest, most environment-friendly technology, will be the biggest of its kind in the world.
